HIGHLANDERS are reportedly willing to listen to offers for one of their key players, McKinnon Mushore, who is said to be on the radar of newly-promoted Scottland FC.

After being confirmed as the Northern Region Soccer League champions, Scottland appear to be adopting an aggressive approach in the transfer market, judging by their reported early dealings in the window.

Highlanders are one of the clubs they are set to raid, with deals for Peter Muduhwa and Lynoth Chikuhwa believed to be already done.

Mushore has now emerged as their next target.

Mushore was one of the stand-out players in the Highlanders midfield during the past campaign. Unlike Muduhwa and Chikuhwa, whose contracts expire on 31 December, Mushore still has a running contract with Bosso.

Sources close to the goings-on at Bosso suggest the club is willing to cash in on the midfielder, but he will not come cheap.

However, Bosso executive secretary Morgan Dube said they are yet to be approached by any club for any of their players.

โ€œNo one has spoken to Highlanders about players and we have not had any offers for McKinnon,โ€ said Dube.

The Pedzai โ€œScottโ€ Sakupwanya-owned side are on a shopping spree ahead of their debut campaign in the countryโ€™s top-flight and are believed to have lured key Simba Bhora players.

Captain Walter Musona, goalkeeper Talbert Shumba, midfielders Mthokozisi Msebe, Vassili Kawe and Tichaona Chipunza will be joining the Mabvuku-based side come January.

Simba Bhora coach Tonderai Ndiraya, who won his first league title in the just-ended season, is also believed to be lining up a move to Scottland FC when his contract with the Shamva-based side expires on December 31.

Wicknell Chivhayo pledged $1 million for the team on their way to winning the Zifa Northern Region Division One league with players also being promised $10 000 each by Sakupwanya.

Genesis Mangombe is the clubโ€™s head coach and has a number of experienced players who have brought in-field leadership that has been key to the side.

Cleopas Dube, Ronald Pfumbidzai, Denver Mukamba, and Bhekimpilo Ncube have had a significant impact at the new Premiership side.

All have international experience.
