Teacher forces pupil to clean faeces using bare hands

A teacher at Zimbili Primary School in Umzingwane District in Matabeleland South Province has appeared in court accused of making a pupil clean faeces out of a toilet with her bare hands.

Nobuhle Ncube appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Nomagugu Maphosa facing a charge of ill-treating a child.
She was not asked to plead and was remanded out of custody.

The State will proceed by way of summons should it deem it necessary, to continue with the matter.
Allegations against Ncube are that on a date unknown to the prosecutor but during the month of November 2022, the juvenile relieved herself in the school toilet and left without flushing.

This angered Ncube who noticed the mess in the toilet and she ordered the pupil to remove the faeces with her bare hands instead of flushing.

This was done in the presence of the juvenile’s classmates. When the juvenile got home, she narrated the ordeal to her mother who reported the matter to the police leading to the arrest of Ncube.
