THE College of Creative Arts Africa (CCA), in Bulawayo is calling for talented youths in Bulawayo to register so that they can perform at an open mic show slated for March 31 at their premises.

The show will be held under the theme The seed; Inhlanyelo, Mbeu.

Speaking to B-Metro, founder of open mic show, Aubrey Sandile Manner, said the show which started in October last year would be taking place every Friday.

โ€œThe purpose of this show is to create a poetry-based community where there is sharing of ideas at the same time tackling social issues that are affecting our community,โ€ said Manner.

Manner said celebrated artists and performers like Nobuntu and Thaluso Da Poet would perform on the day.

ย โ€œThis time around, we are inviting musicians, dancers, actors and writers to register. The show will run from 2pm to 3pm. Each and every session has a working theme and all registered people are going to perform,โ€ he said.

Their last open mic show was held on 25 November under the theme Uhambo; the journey.

โ€œWe expect to see poets and artists rise and be recognised in society. We are pushing to host this show fortnightly,โ€ย  addedย  Manner.
