Umahlekisa Comedy Club will hold celebrations to mark their 10 years of artistic presence in the showbiz industry at the National Gallery in Bulawayo.

The event will be held on 1 April where Bulawayo’s flagship comic melting pot will give a glimpse of their fruitful journey in the creative sector.

An array of artistes are set to perform and these include Dalu Da Comedian, Frank Chirisa, Ms Dee, Chichi the posters queen, Bleck Hit, Zwe Hlabangana, Ckanyiso Dat Guy, Kina The music and Ntando Van Moyo.

Umahlekisa entertainment director Ntando Van Moyo said after deliberations, they identified the gallery as the rightful place to celebrate their special day.

“So far, everything is going well on the preparations, and we made a few changes to the line-up where we have added a band (surprise act) that will perform with the live artistes.

“We also have surprise acts from comics who we have been with in the trenches since we started, thus people should expect something amazing on such a special day for us as Umahlekisa Comedy,” said Ntando Van Moyo.
