FORMER senior national team, Highlanders and CAPS United fitness trainer Majaha Ndlovu has agreed terms to join Southern Region Division One side Talen Vision, B-Metro Sport has learnt.

Ndlovu has not been attached for several months after he parted ways with Malawi’s premiership side Nyasa Big Bullets.

At Nyasa Big Bullets Ndlovu enjoyed good working relationship with ex-Warriors and Dynamos gaffer Calisto Pasuwa gracing the winners’ podium on many occasions.

“I can confirm that Ndlovu has agreed to join Talen Vision. However, he hasn’t signed a contract. We are still working on that.

There is a clause that we need to insert in his contract, that is if any Premier League club does happen to get interested in his services, we release him,” said Talen Vision chairman Elton Sinyosi.

The energetic Ndlovu was last weekend seen taking Talen Vision players through their warm-up sessions when the club engaged in two friendly matches against Killarney FC and Jordan Sinnott.

In a brief interview Ndlovu said: “I’m only helping out at Talen Vision. I haven’t been fully engaged.”
Talen Vision last weekend engaged in a health awareness initiative that saw both the elderly and young getting screened for different ailments at the club’s Health Care Centre in Filabusi.

The Health Care Centre was previously known as Trukumb Clinic and is now named Talen Vision Health Care Centre.

Trukumb Mining, which is under the directorship of Khumbulani Nkomo, bankrolls Talen Vision Football Club.

“The Health Care facility, which was previously known as Trukumb Clinic, is now open to the general members of the public. We are happy to say that in its opening to the general members of the public, we engaged in a health awareness campaign.

“We have different projects, but this health awareness initiative is all in an effort to give a helping hand as we had people being tested for tuberculosis among other different ailments. In the process patients got free medication. Consultation was also for free.

We got a massive response and we will be moving to different areas that include Nkankezi, Silalatshani, Pheleka, Amazon, Skuta and Mahole,” said Talen Vision administrator Hloniphani Ngwenya.

The health awareness event was spiced up by two football matches that saw Talen Vision’s reserve side edge Killarney FC (Kent) 1-0 courtesy of a Mthokozisi Matshazi strike.

Thereafter Talen Vision’s first team played a one-all draw against Jordan Sinnott. Tanaka Nyoni scored for the former while Wilfred Nyathi found the target for the latter.

“We are still working on our combinations. Yes, we won the first game but the boys did not play well.

They kept on complaining about the playing surface. It’s unfortunate that in the second game, we conceded through a penalty and we were found wanting in terms of positioning.

It wasn’t the best performance but we are getting ready to compete,” said Talen Vision assistant coach Saul Ndlovu.
