The Zvimba Rural District Council has issued a stern warning against purchasing land from unauthorised sellers, stating that legal action will be taken against those involved in such transactions.
The council has also announced plans to demolish all illegal structures in affected areas, including Whitecliff, Spitzkop Nyabira, Heany, Rydale Ridge, Somerby, Murombedzi Rural Service Centre, Banket, Trelawney, Raffingora, and the Kutama/Chikambi communal area.
In a statement issued today, the council said individuals who occupied land illegally are hoping that their structures will eventually be regularised.
“Members of the public are hereby strongly warned against illegally occupying the above areas under the false hope that their structures will be regularised.
“Besides losing hard-earned cash, anyone caught engaging in such illicit transactions shall be prosecuted, and all illegal structures shall be demolished,” reads the statement.
