HIGHLANDERS has commended one of its players, Marvelous Chigumira, for his professionalism and discipline as he prepares to leave the club at the end of the year.

The utility player, who has chosen to move on to the next stage of his career, has been praised for his respectful approach to his departure.

According to the clubโ€™s executive secretary, Morgan โ€œGazzaโ€ Dube, the player formally advised them of his decision to leave, seeking their blessings and expressing his gratitude for the opportunities he had been given while at the club. The playerโ€™s contract is set to expire on December 31, and he has committed to seeing out the remainder of his contract. The club has, in turn, given him their blessing to pursue new opportunities.

โ€œWe applaud his discipline and professionalism. He has been a true gentleman throughout this process, and we wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

โ€œThe boy has been very professional. He advised the executive of his decision to leave the club. In the process, he sought blessings to move on in his career. He registered his appreciation for Bosso and the platform it gave him to shine. He will see out his contract, which ends on 31 December. As a club, we have given him our blessings, and we would want to applaud his discipline and professionalism,โ€ said Dube.

Chigumira is believed to be on his way to Premiership debutants Scottland who are also believed to have already successfully negotiated deals for the Bosso duo of Peter Muduhwa and Lynoth Chikuhwa whose contracts also expire on December 31.

Scottland are also said to be after the signatures of Godfrey Makaruse and McKinnon Mushore.

Scottland recently unveiled midfielder Kingsley Mureremba as their new player.

Several other top players, including Walter Musona, Khama Billiat and Talbert Shumba are reportedly on their way to Scottland as well.

The future of coach Genesis Mangombe is also hanging in balance with the club leadership not trusting he is the right man for the job.

Tonderayi Ndiraya, who is believed not to be renewing his contract with Simba Bhora at the end of the year, is being linked with the Scottland job.

Meanwhile, Joel Luphahla, Dynamosโ€™ assistant coach, is reportedly in line to take over at Simba Bhora.

Luphahla, who recently won the Chibuku Super Cup trophy with the Glamour Boys, has previouslyย  worked as head coach at TelOne and as an assistant coach at Highlanders. – @innocentskizoe
