BREAKTHROUGH YEAR FOR CHAMPION INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE CEO

IT has definitely been a breakthrough year for Champion International College CEO Dr Tendesai Mushamba as he made history by winning more than ten awards for himself.

Dr Mushamba has cemented himself as a force with in the business circles.

Recently, he was handed three awards that include the Strategic Leader of the Year Platinum Award by the Megafest Business Awards, Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe awarded him the CEO with a Human Capital Orientation second runner-up award. His college received the Best College in Town award by the Ziso Magazine.

Champion International College will open a boarding school in Belvedere, which is expected to enrol its first group of pupils next year.

Dr Mushamba’s commitment is to give quality education to students and the school gave out nine scholarships to students.

The college’s vision is to be the hallmark of quality education and elite extracurricular activities for students.

This year has seen his growth as a businessman, and also as an individual, he was a ZIST guest speaker in Nyanga, discussing the Vision 2030 curriculum framework.

“This year has been a ride for me as an individual and also as a businessman, I have grown in terms of everything. Just as the eagle soars above the storm, together as Africans we shall ensure that Africa soars and achieve its destiny. Africa is destined for greatness,” he said.

Champion College started with one person in Harare Gardens and it now has grown to even be honoured as the best college in town.

In so many ways, Champion International College is the Home of Gifted Students. The talents span academic, sports and cultural activities.

An example is Prosper Muza, currently a Form 5 Student, who scored straight A’s in the November 2023 Cambridge Examinations.

He is inspired by icons such as Hermish Marwa, owner of Knock Out and prominent businessman Philip Chiyangwa.

◆ College of the Year (National) (Zimbabwe Business Awards – ZIBA)

◆ Growing Business Luminary Award (Zimbabwe Institute of Strategic Thinking — ZIST)

◆ Coach and Mentorship Award by Africa Unite and Christian Women Entrepreneurs Network of Africa

◆ Outstanding Investment in Education award by the Africa Investment Leaders Forum
