AFTER a seven-year hiatus in the music scene, kwaito superstar S_tickGolide has struck gold by topping the 2024 Skyz Metro FM Hot 100 list with his track titled Amandla Endoda.

The track, released in March last year, marked the comeback of S_tickGolide after he had decided to drop the microphone in 2016. Amandla Endoda features award-winning artist Fab G Umshanakagogo and was released with visuals that were directed and filmed by Keaitse Films.

The track was mixed and mastered by CliffJeans at Tenacity Records and produced by S_tickGolide and @Blvcknavy.

Amandla Endoda was closely followed by Mai Mwamuka’s Dwala Lami, featuring Vocal Ex, which secured the second spot. In third place was Umama by Cooperman, featuring Lewanika M.
Speaking to Chronicle Showbiz, S_tickGolide expressed happiness over how his return to the music industry has paid off.

“I’m still in shock. This win is an incredible validation of our hard work. The past year has been challenging, but we’ve learned so much. This year, we’ll focus on expanding our reach, exploring new opportunities, and making a lasting impact.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my amazing fans. Your love and support have made this Song of the Year award possible. We couldn’t have done it without Olaah Investment. Their support was instrumental in creating our video, and we’re thankful for their belief in us,” said S_tickGolide.

He mentioned that fans and followers should expect more projects from him in the coming year.

“I’m excited to announce that I’m working on a new EP with the talented Diliza. Stay tuned for updates on our collaborative project,” he added.
