A WOMAN says she has stumbled upon photographs and messages, which appear to suggest that her daughter is having gay relationships and abusing alcohol at binge parties, which are attended by gay couples.

The woman, who identified herself as Mai Tanya, told H-Metro that she came across the photos and messages after she perused her daughter’s mobile phone.

However, her daughter has dismissed her mother’s concerns and says that the photographs were taken when she went out to have some drinks with her friends.

The 21-year-old has denied being in any gay relationship and insists that her mother’s concerns are misplaced and she should not draw any conclusions from just looking at the pictures since the photographs were taken when they were drunk.

“We were at an outing with my female friends and ended up drinking alcohol,” she told H-Metro.

“My mother is suspecting that I am engaging in some same-sex relations with my friend but nothing is there, ma small small chete.

“The photographs have been in our social circles that they are not a big issue.

However, her mother has some serious concerns. Mai Tanya told H-Metro that she was shocked to see photographs which show that her daughter flirting with other girls and abusing alcohol.

“I am a single mother, my daughter’s behaviour has disturbed me so much,” said Mai Tanya.

“Her behaviour has been changing and I decided to check on those she communicate with daily on her mobile phone.

“I came across a WhatsApp group called ‘Ndewangu.’ I opened the group and saw some romantic pictures of her with female friends.

“One of the friends visits her and they spend a lot of time in her bedroom.

“I am aware that she is above 18 but this has emotionally affected me considering that we expected her to be married (to a man).”

The photographs have been circulating among some WhatsApp groups and have drawn negative comments.
