A CANCER patient is appealing to well-wishers to assist with US$2000 to help her complete her medical procedure in the treatment of lymphoma.
Bird Celine Crystal, 26, said she is left with one cycle of chemotherapy and she is currently being treated in India.
In an interview, Celine said she was diagnosed with lymphoma in early September last year and has currently done five chemotherapy cycles.
She is now left with one more chemotherapy cycle.
โI am left with about US$2000 to finish my treatment.
โThe whole treatment cost approximately US$12 000 but with other expenses,it came to about US$16000.
โMy doctors told me I will need six chemotherapy cycles. I did a PET/CT scan after two cycles and the doctors were happy with my response to treatment.
โThey found no active cancer cells and most of the lymphoma was gone.
โI have currently done five chemotherapy cycles and I am left with one more chemotherapy cycle and my last PET/CT scan to see if the cancer is gone.โ
Celine fears that if she fails to complete chemotherapy sessions, it will soon cause more damage to all the progress that she has been making in her treatment.
โI am kindly asking to raise funds for my cancer treatment.
โl was diagnosed with lymphoma in early September 2024 and I am currently in India undergoing treatment.
โI am 70 percent complete, and I am facing financial difficulties to complete the treatment. I am worried about my health. We are trying to raise the money but it has not been easy. We are appealing to anyone who is willing to assist us to raise the required money to get treatment.
โIt pains me that I am almost done and I have been waiting for my final treatment and not being able to get it, because I cannot afford it, is heartbreaking. People can help by donating to my Gofundme, cash donations or Ecocash donations or they can donate directly to the hospital account.โ
