CHIMANIMANI-BASED Eastern Region Division One side Rusitu Tigers will commence trials for prospective players by the end of next week as the club gears up for the 2025 season.

Rusitu Tigers have earned a reputation as giant-killers in the second-tier league, having upset several fancied teams on numerous occasions.

The club’s director, Simon Myambo, said: “We are fully prepared for the 2025 season, and our fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the campaign. As part of our preparations, we will be holding trials for prospective players, which are scheduled to take place anytime before the end of next week.”

Myambo confirmed that the delay in starting their season preparations was due to their coach being involved in a road traffic accident.
