Afro Pop and Soul music lovers in Bulawayo seem to be starving as there are a few gigs held in the city of Kings that cater for their demands.
As such, they can’t tolerate such famine anymore as they have demanded Bulawayo’s Prince of Soul Mncedisi “MJ Sings” Ncube to return to the game and host his “One Man Show” gigs which he used to present in the previous years of his peak.
MJ Sings was called out by fans on social media as they requested that he treats them to quality shows and music.
The Wangithembisa Nami hit maker said it’s overwhelming that people have requested his music — a sign that his brand is relevant in the local showbiz.
“It’s a huge surprise for people to run a petition and demand me to return and do these gigs. For them to make such a request I think it’s the nostalgia they get from watching the past performances and videos of the shows we did years back. I also believe that my low key absence on live concerts lately, led to the demand.
“It’s a good feeling to know that the market still demands my services but we are now also under pressure to deliver something that will be worth the wait and demand.
“I have already gotten calls from interested promoters and if all goes well we might have a first special ‘One Man Show’ in March if all goes according to plans,” said MJ Sings.
The soul master said last year he was busy in the studio working on some projects to be released this year.
“In 2024, I was doing a lot of studio work which I have already started rolling out with some of the songs such as Low-key and Temper already doing well on the charts and streets.
“In 2025, I will be unlocking a lot of music that I have been working on and some really cool collaborations with both Zimbabwean and International artistes. Fans must expect a lot of live performances as well as it is something that we are fully focused on right now with the entire team,” said MJ Sings.
