LOVE conquers All?

In a shocking courtroom revelation, a man who discovered a naked photo of his wife in the arms of another man — and later learnt she was pregnant by someone else — stunned the court by professing his unwavering love for her.

Ephert Ngulube made this emotional declaration before Bulawayo magistrate Challenge Mahembe, as his wife, Sandra Ngulube, sought a protection order against him.

“I’m applying for a protection order against my husband. When he comes home from nights out, he accuses me of infidelity, calls me a prostitute, and physically assaults me.

“At one point, he even left a note threatening to kill me. I fear for my life,” Sandra told the court.

In his defence, Ephert admitted to assaulting his wife but justified his actions by revealing the shocking betrayal he had uncovered.

“I found a naked picture of her being embraced by another man,” he confessed.

“To make matters worse, she became pregnant by someone else while in South Africa ordering stock for her business.”

Despite these revelations, Ephert maintained that he still loved his wife.

When the magistrate repeatedly asked if he truly meant it, he stood by his words.

“After discovering the pregnancy, both our families intervened. My wife and I decided to work things out and stay together because I truly love her,” he stated.

However, the court ruled in Sandra’s favour, granting her a five-year protection order. The order prohibits Ephert from insulting, threatening, or physically assaulting his wife.
