RAPPER Maskiri has been charmed by two promising artists from St John’s Chikwaka Mission’s Shearly Cripps Children’s home.

The controversial Hip-hop artist expressed his determination to help the two women during a handover of a consignment of groceries from the ACIZ Zimbabwe.

ACI Zimbabwe is a leading non-profit, non-political association of wholesale financial market professionals.

ACI Zimbabwe has a proud and illustrious history of involvement in helping its membership through various market iterations/interactions.

Maskiri spent the better part of the afternoon educating and entertaining the children with his freestyle lyrics.

This orphanage’s children are said to have dumped infants without any traceable relatives.

Maskiri was impressed by the talents of Melisa Mutengi, 29, and Tanaka Mutetwa, 13.

“I am going to make sure that these two girls are properly groomed, get their music recorded and marketed because they are naturally talented lyricists who just need proper studios and producers.

“I am on the same page with many artists, studios and producers from DJ Oskid, DJ Fantan and elder Willis Wataffi in the mission to identify new talent.

“Stay away from drugs and substance abuse.

“That is why I do not even compose a song about drug abuse because I hate even the word called drug abuse racho.

“Never allow yourself to be physically nor sexually abused by anyone.

“Do not follow what the rest are doing, listen to your dreams and mind your health.

“You are talented in many different ways and this girl, Melisa, is a talented vocalist and lyricist.”

Tanaka says she dreams of becoming a journalist. “I want to be a journalist after passing my A-Level exams, I love journalism and music because I enjoy interacting with strangers, asking them questions.”

ACIZ Zimbabwe president, Ngoni Kazingachire, said:

“With God, nothing is impossible and that is why we are back and donating again.”

ACIZ Zimbabwe treasurer, Job Makuyana, said:

“Giving does not mean you have extra to waste, no, but because you have the heart to share the little you have with everyone.

“I am an ordinary person from Chipinge, who then migrated to Buhera, where I grew up failing to even get food, clothes and school fees and this is what is now driving my philanthropy.”
