Lobels boss insults subordinate over beans

Danisa Masuku
Embattled Bulawayo Lobels Chief Operating Officer (COO) Andrew Dhinidza who is facing a string of rape charges has been slapped with a criminal insult charge after he allegedly hurled the “F” word at a subordinate.

It is said late last year, Dhinidza found his subordinate Locadia Ndebele (40) boiling beans at Store Biscuits which were going to be eaten with isitshwala and asked her what she was cooking.

When Dhinidza realised that she was boiling beans which other workers would eat with isitshwala, he allegedly showered Ndebele with insults which included the “F” word.

After the flare-up, Dhinidza is said to have summoned supervisors and strongly warned them against using the Stores as a cooking place.

The woman reported the incident to the police last week at Nkulumane Police Station leading to his arrest.

Dhinidza was set to appear before court on 2 February.

This incident comes hot on the heels of series of rape accusations which his subordinates laid against him.

Dhinidza allegedly used his “office power” to be between the sheets with about eight of his subordinates.

It is said Dhinidza would threaten to fire the victims if they turned down his sexual demands, forcing them to give in.

On occasions the troubled COO allegedly used his car as a sex haven as he drove the subordinates to a secluded place and would have sex with them.

In all the alleged sexual attacks Dhinidza either threatened to fire the victim or to employ a part-time worker on a full time basis. For all the sex attacks allegations he is set to appear before a magistrate at the Regional court.
