AFTER Highlanders honoured him for his long service with a Ford Ranger car as a token of appreciation for his contribution to the club, Ariel Sibanda has come out to say thank you to the black and white family.
Sibanda, who has been with Highlanders since his junior days, has dedicated 16 years to the club. In recognition of his loyalty and service, the club gifted the 34-year-old goalkeeper the double-cab Ford Ranger he has been using since 2021.
The vehicle was given to Bosso by Sakunda Holdings during the sponsorship deal between the two parties in 2021. It was meant to be used by the club captain with Sakunda also giving a similar vehicle to then Dynamos skipper Partson Jaure.
“I stand before you with immense gratitude and humility. I am truly overwhelmed with joy and appreciation as I received this incredible gift, Ford Ranger. Your generosity and kindness are a testament to your exceptional character, and I am honoured to have you Sakunda as my sponsor and Highlanders FC as part of my family, your support means the world to me, and I am deeply thankful for your investment in my life.
“This car is more than just a means of transportation. It’s a symbol of hope, opportunity, and freedom. It will enable me to travel for work, school, or personal projects. Please know that I will cherish and take good care of this gift, and I will always remember your kindness and generosity. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you abundantly for your goodwill,” wrote Sibanda on his Facebook page.
Highlanders also confirmed Sibanda has extended his contract, ending speculation about his future following the expiration of his previous deal on December 31, 2024.
“We are delighted to announce that our esteemed captain, Ariel Sibanda, has pledged his continued commitment to the club, signing on for an additional two years,” said the club.
