Following Moja LOVE’s decision to finally dismiss Uyajola 9.9 TV presenter, Jub Jub it appears he is not taking the fight lying down, as he has retaliated against the channel and is suing for over R100 million rand in breach of contract.
There seems to be no end in sight with the drama between Uyajola 9.9 host, Molemo Katleho Maarohanye, famously known as Jub Jub and his former employers at Moja LOVE. What commenced as a situation that could have been resolved amicably, when Jub Jub insulted another business partner in December last year.
“Maarohanye apparently went too far in December by allegedly wrecking the station’s relationship with one of its founders, the Bakgatla-ba-Kgafela tribal community,” wrote the publication.
It appears Jub Jub has reached a point of no return at this point. After failed attempts to issue a public apology to Keabetswe Mokoena, for the incident that took place where she was insulted by Jub Jub. The channel proceeded to withhold his salary as a punishment for his misconduct.
Just last week Moja LOVE cut all working ties with Jub Jub and decided to finally show him the door. However, according to the City Press, Jub Jub is suing the channel for over R100 million rand for breach of contract.
“Former Uyajola 9 /9 presenter Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye has lodged a scathing legal salvo against Moja Love, seeking almost R100 million for breach of contract. Maarohanye argues that the termination of his contract emanates from his issuing a letter of demand to the channel for an unpaid or withheld salary,” wrote the publication.
According to Sunday World, Jub Jub was fired shortly after the channel was slapped with lawyers following his outstanding January salary. The channel withheld his salary due to an incident that took place in December where Jub Jub used swear words when addressing Keabetswa Mokoena. — Zalebs
