COULD this be the signing of the season for Dynamos?
Dynamos fans are buzzing after the club secured Ransom Junior Chingwara, a 22-year-old central midfielder from Oman’s Bosher Club, on a two-year contract.
The player who was unveiled this week couldn’t hide his excitement as he reflected on his dream move.
The player who previously played for Adachi in the Zifa Southern Region is back in the country and looking forward to the next challenge.
“This is a dream come true. When I was growing up, I never thought this day would come. Playing for Dynamos was always a distant dream, but today, I am living it. Wearing the blue jersey is a huge honour, and I want to thank God, my family and the technical team for believing in me,” said Chingwara.
His arrival comes at a time of significant change for the club. After a mixed 2024 season in which Dynamos finished eighth in the league but lifted the Chibuku Super Cup by beating Ngezi Platinum Stars, the Glamour Boys are undergoing a full-scale rebuild.
Head coach Lloyd Chigowe, who oversaw a 50 percent win ratio in 20 games last season, is working tirelessly to refresh the squad, with several fresh faces already joining the ranks.
Among the new signings are young Ghanaian Frank Agyemang, dynamic midfielder Leeroy Mavhunga, and promising talents Tapiwa Masango and Tellmore Pio.
Add to that former US LA Galaxy star Farai Mutatu and the team is looking stronger than ever.
However, it’s not just new faces in the squad. There’s been a major reshuffle in the backroom staff, with fan-favourite Ronald “Gidiza” Sibanda returning as team manager and Mark Mathe taking the reins as assistant coach.
