Woman throws stones into neighbour’s yard

A woman from Bulawayo has dragged her neighbour to court accusing her of insulting her and throwing stones into her yard.

Precious Sibanda from Lobengula West suburb claimed her neighbour Tichaita Huku was also confronting her at her house while accusing her of gossiping about her.

After that, she would wake up during the night and throw mud and stones at her house and damage window panes and doors in the process.

Sibanda who applied for a peace order at West Commonage Court claimed her neighbour once lied to the police that she had physically attacked her and she was arrested for that.

“I am applying for a peace order against my troublesome neighbour who always accuses me of gossiping about her with other neighbours thereby dragging her reputation into the mud.

“She is always confronting me at my home and would insult me with unprintable words. After that, she would throw stones into my yard smashing windows and panes. At times she throws mud into my yard during the night.

“I pray that this honourable court grants me a peace order to stop her from harassing me.”

In response, Tichaita said: “I only shouted at her after she had gossiped about me. I never threw stones or mud into her yard.”

Presiding magistrate Sikhethile Moyo granted Sibanda a peace order.

The magistrate ordered Tichaita not to harass and verbally abuse her. She was also stopped from throwing stones at her house.
