GOSPEL songstress, Mai Mwamuka, has started the year on a high after her track Dwala Lami came second in the 2024 Skyz Metro FM Hot 100.
The track featuring Vocal Ex is based on a scripture of Psalm 18:1-3, which according to the NKJV Bible says: “(1) I will love You, O Lord, my strength. (2) The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (3) I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.”
After hosting the last session of the Worship Well online on December 28, Mai Mwamuka will launch the 2025 edition physically on February 12 in Bulawayo.
Speaking to Chronicle Showbiz, Mai Mwamuka said she is elated with her music’s support and promised fresh works this year.
“I am so humbled, as the people of Bulawayo are so wonderful. We thank everyone who supported us last year and appreciate Skyz Metro FM for the exposure and opportunity. We don’t take it for granted; it’s a blessing.
“It’s a New Year gift for the Mai Mwamuka brand and we appreciate those who stand with us to make sure all our events are a success; may God bless them. Fans and followers should expect new projects lined up this year,” said Mai Mwamuka.
She said this year, the Worship Well will expand to people’s homes, families, villages, cities, churches, conferences, all-night prayers, prayer retreats, crusades, weddings, parliament, schools and hospitals.
“The response is amazing as people like our work and subscribership is increasing but above everything else, the way people are worshipping, the comments show that people are being connected to God through the Worship Well programme.
“This was our first solely online session and l believe God has given us grace because the atmosphere is amazing. We encourage people to continue connecting and we are in the process of making the session an audio.
“Come February, we host the first live session of the Worship Well and people should come in numbers as we ask for God’s grace in 2025,” said Mai Mwamuka. —@mthabisi_mthire
