EX-WARRIORS captain Knowledge Musona managed to register his first goal-assist of the season in Al Okhdood’s 1-2 loss against Al Kholood in the Saudi Pro League.

Musona featured as a second striker and created Okhdood’s only goal which was scored by Nigerian winger Saviour Godwin in the 62nd minute.

The former Warriors international played the entire 90 minutes.

The performance saw him being named the Man of the Match in the encounter. His other recent goal involvement came last weekend when he scored in the 1-1 draw against Al Shabab.

Musona now has three goals and one assist in 11 appearances.

He has continued to shine amid calls for him to return from his retirement from international football and don the Warriors colours again.

Daniel Msendami’s profile continues to rise in South Africa’s Betway Premier Soccer League.

Msendami a former Highlanders and Jwaneng Galaxy (Botswana) winger, bagged another Man of the Match award this season in Marumo Gallants colours.

Msendami has settled well at Marumo Gallants since his arrival ahead of the new season.

He started in last Friday’s 1-0 win against SuperSport United, playing the entire match.

The striker’s performance saw him being named the Man of the Match.

This is his second award this season after winning his first in September in the match against AmaZulu.

Msendami has so far made 10 appearances this season, playing in all seven league games and featured in the three Carling Knockout matches.

Influential Luton Town midfielder Marvelous Nakamba was relieved to get through his first 90 minutes for the Hatters in over a year during Saturday’s 1-0 victory against Hull City.

The 30-year-old had last played a full game last year, when the Hatters were a Premier League side and Liverpool were in town on November 5 and the match ended a 1-1 draw.

With a serious knee injury ruling Nakamba out of the rest of the season and the start of the Championship campaign, having played two full games for Zimbabwe in the week, he was deemed fit enough to start only his fifth league match of the season and first since early October.

In fact, not only did he star, but he was there at the full-time whistle too, discussing his efforts, Nakamba felt turning out for his country against Kenya and Cameroon was a huge benefit, saying: “I’m feeling good, trying to give my best each time when given the chance and now getting back after a long time out. Playing the full 90 minutes with the national team and coming back here to give everything and play another my first 90 minutes in a long time, I think it helped me, but also with the physical coaches here,” Nakamba told Luton Today.

Tawanda Chirewa, who does duty for Derby in the English Football League Championship, known simply as the Championship in England and for sponsorship purposes as Sky Bet Championship played his first game after injury recovery.

Chirewa spent over six weeks nursing a thigh muscle injury that was sustained in early October.

The midfielder missed eight league games for Derby and four Afcon Qualifiers Group J matches for the Warriors.

He started training with the rest of the Derby squad last Thursday.

The Warriors international played his first match on Friday, featuring in Derby Under 21’s 6-2 loss to Chelsea Under 21 in the Premier League 2.

He played for forty-five minutes after starting in the match.

Chirewa joined Championship side Derby County on a season’s loan deal from Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers in August this year
Chirewa (20) joined Wolves from Ipswich last year.
Chirewa scored on his debut for the Warriors against South Africa in a World Cup qualifier in June.
