THE Curran family was once again filled with pride when Ben was selected for the Chevrons’ squad for their upcoming series against Afghanistan.
Ben follows in the footsteps of his father and brothers, all of who have achieved great success in cricket at the highest level.
At the age of 28, Ben received his maiden call-up to the Chevrons’ squad for their series against Afghanistan.The son of the late former Zimbabwe player and coach, Kevin Curran, Ben’s selection is a testament to his undeniable talent and hard work.
Ben was named as one of three changes to the ODI squad, which faced Pakistan in Bulawayo last week.
His brothers, Sam and Tom, are already renowned cricket players and won the World Cup with England.
Sam was particularly overjoyed by Ben’s success and took to social media to express his delight.
Through his X (formerly Twitter) account, Sam conveyed his admiration to his brother and mentioned that their father would have been immensely proud of Ben’s achievement.
With Ben now set to showcase his skills on the global stage, the Curran family’s legacy in the game is set to continue for years to come.

“Someone will be looking down with a huge smile on their face today,” he posted.
Ben’s maiden call-up to the national team comes as no surprise, as he has been in scintillating form in domestic cricket.
He has been in outstanding form in List A matches this season, amassing a century and two half-centuries in just four innings.
In his latest encounter against Southern Rocks on Thursday last week, Ben played a sensational knock of 53 runs off 72 balls.
However, his remarkable century against Tuskers remains his best performance, where he scored an impressive 125 runs from 130 deliveries.
With a staggering average of 64.50, Ben certainly has become a force to be reckoned with.
