Tulani to stay put at Chicken Inn

Sports Writer

CHICKEN Inn holding midfielder Joseph Tulani has dismissed rumours he wants to return to CAPS United, saying he still has a running contract with the Gamecocks.

Tulani, a midfielder enforcer who can hold the ball, venture upfront, create and score crucial goals, joined Gamecocks just before the start of the new season.

“I am enjoying my season break after being involved in taxing games for my club Chicken Inn. I’m just making sure I have quality time with my family. With regards to going back to CAPS United, those are all lies. I have a running contract with Chicken Inn and I’m happy at the club,” said Thulani from his base in Harare.

Word has it that Tulani has been begging to rejoin the Green Machine.

However, the player said: “CAPS United people whom I cannot mention are the ones who have been begging me to come back and that will not happen.”

The lanky player was CAPS United’s standout player last season before he joined Chicken Inn with ex-CAPS United assistant coach, Fungai ‘Tostao’ Kwashi.

Kwashi is the first assistant coach to Joey Antipas at the Gamecocks.

Kwashi was roped into the Gamecocks’ technical setup after the club parted ways with Prince Matore and Farai Tawachera.
