Crime Reporter

A gang of armed robbers this Monday morning raided a Mukuru Money Transfer agency at Makomva Shopping Centre in Glen View, Harare, and got away with a yet-to-be-disclosed amount of money.
The Mukuru booth, which is located inside a pharmacy, was raided at around 10am.
The robbers were armed with pistols and were travelling in a black Toyota Mark X that they parked in front of the premises before producing the firearms.
According to sources, the robbers held the workers hostage before looting the cash.
They later fired shots in the air as they sped off from the scene while being chased by members of the public.
Police are yet to issue a statement over the case and a team of detectives from the CID Homicide and other departments have since been deployed to the scene to conduct investigations.
Meanwhile, police in Harare are investigating a case of unlawful entry and theft which occurred on December 13 at a house along Abyone Drive in Newlands.
The suspect broke the dining room door and gained entry into the house before stealing a cash box containing US$20 000 and a laptop.
Police in Marondera are also investigating another case of unlawful entry and theft that occurred at Rakodzi Estate on December 12.
The suspects broke the main entrance door and gained entry into the house where they stole a Farbam shotgun, a Brno shotgun and a BSA rifle.
The incident occurred while the complainant was away in Harare.
