BAL qualifiers deferred

Online Reporter
THE opening of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Group E Qualifiers has been pushed back a day as the venue, City Sports Centre, is reportedly not yet ready.
The games, originally scheduled to begin on Tuesday afternoon, will now kick off on Wednesday and run until Sunday, October 27.
The Basketball Union of Zimbabwe released a statement on the changes but is yet to officially communicate the reason behind the delay.
“The Basketball Africa League Road to BAL Group E competition set for October 22 in Harare has been postponed by one day,” reads the statement.
“Games will now begin on Wednesday, October 23, at City Sports Centre in Harare. We will soon send out the updated schedule and also post on the BUZ social media accounts.
“We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your continued support.”
Basket Hounds are representing Zimbabwe after the newboys won last year’s BUZ National League.
Six teams make up Group E and these include Desportos Costa Do Sol (Mozambique), Bravehearts (Malawi), Matero Magic (Zambia), Fox (South Sudan), BDF (Botswana) and Hounds (Zimbabwe).
