Cyclone Dikeledi brings drier conditions to Zim

THE Meteorological Services Department has reported that Tropical Cyclone Dikeledi, currently in the Mozambique Channel, is causing drier conditions in the north-eastern regions of Zimbabwe. However, it is forecast to move southward within the channel, gradually distancing itself from Zimbabwe.

As Dikeledi shifts south, it is expected to pull the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) southward by the end of the week, likely enhancing thunderstorm activity across the country.

Tomorrow the weather is expected to start off mostly cloudy, with scattered thunderstorms anticipated in the afternoon and evening. Warm conditions will prevail, and some areas may experience heavy rainfall.

The MSD urged the public to stay informed and prepare for potentially severe weather.
