Thunderstorms, warm weather expected today

A mix of warm and stormy conditions are expected across the country on Wednesday, the Meteorological Services Department has said.
The department’s latest weather forecast indicate that cloudy skies and warm temperatures, with scattered thunderstorms are expected particularly in the northern regions.
The forecast indicated that northern parts of Matabeleland North, the northern areas of Midlands, Harare Metropolitan, Manicaland, and all Mashonaland Provinces will experience scattered thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, other provinces are likely to receive isolated thunderstorms. Morning conditions are expected to be mild and partly cloudy atmosphere across much of the country.
“As night falls, expect more of the same, with a chance of rain showers making their way into the forecast,” read the forecast.
Looking ahead to Thursday, the Meteorological Services Department said it anticipates continued cloudy and warm conditions in the Mashonaland Provinces, accompanied by scattered thunderstorms.
In contrast, the Bulawayo Metropolitan area, Matabeleland South, southern Midlands, Masvingo, and southern Manicaland will experience cloudy and mild weather with possible rain showers.
The remainder of the country is expected to experience hot conditions with isolated thunderstorms.
