THE Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League have thrown their weight behind Herentals Queens chief executive Wadzanai Mukura and Black Rhinos Queens boss Ntokoziso Moyo for the posts of ZIFA vice-president and executive member respectively.

The two veteran football administrators are seeking office in the upcoming ZIFA elections pencilled for early next year.

And the 16-teams in the Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League have decided to back the two’s candidature.

The 16 teams will all be able to vote in the elections as per the newly-adopted ZIFA constitution.

In a statement released this afternoon, the Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League said they decided to unite in support of the two ahead of the elections.

“The Zimbabwe Women Soccer League clubs firmly believe these exceptional individuals possess the vision, expertise, and passion necessary to propel soccer forward in Zimbabwe,” reads the statement.

“Their unwavering commitment to promoting gender equality, empowerment, and competitiveness resonates deeply with our shared objectives.

“We urge all relevant stakeholders and soccer enthusiasts to join us in supporting these outstanding candidates. United, we can forge a brighter future for soccer in Zimbabwe.”
