EDITORIAL COMMENT: PLEASE ANDY, MAKE IT WORK THIS TIME

ANDY Muridzo and his wife Mai Keketso have reunited and we wish them all the best.

We broke the news in our edition yesterday and Mai Keketso says their house is now engulfed in the flames of love.

She told us she is reuniting with her true love, the father of her official. Andy confirmed the reunion and said it was not a sin for one to return to his family and kiss each other again.

He said he paid lobola for Mai Keketso, so nothing can stop him from reuniting with her.

Andy had been in a relationship with Rumbidzayi Mwabvu and when it collapsed he decided the time had come for him to go back home.

After all, home is where the heart is. As expected, there has been a mixed reaction to the reunion with some people celebrating the couple’s reunion while others are criticising it.

That’s normal.

The couple can’t get the endorsement of everyone else — that is impossible.

There will always be a constituency which does not believe that this reunion is in the best interests of both Andy and Mai Keketso.

And, there will always be a constituency which will support the couple’s decision to reunite as husband and wife.

To us, at H-Metro, what matters is whether the two are happy with their decision and that they are both  committed to this reunion.

We hope that they are not just doing it as a fake public relations exercise when the reality is that they are not committed to this reunion.

We don’t doubt Mai Keketso’s commitment to her marriage.

We feel that the ball really is in Andy’s court.

If he really commits to ensure that his marriage works and survives all the challenges that come with his fame and the industry where he works, there is nothing that will stop the couple from having a very good marriage.

We hope he has learnt his lessons that being a real man isn’t about getting attracted to every woman who shows she wants to get into your arms.

We know it’s very difficult for our artists to deal with the challenges they face because there will always be many women who are ready to throw themselves into their arms.

But, they should be wise enough to know that the real relationships are the ones they had with those women who loved and committed themselves to marrying them when they were not yet as popular as they are today.

These women did not love them for their fame because they were not famous when they committed themselves to loving them and even marrying them.

They did not love them for their money because they didn’t have any money in their banks when these women committed themselves to loving them for the rest of their lives.

They are their real lovers and we are happy that Andy has finally seen the light and returned home to his true love.

They both know the mistakes they made and they should not repeat them.
