CONTEMPORARY Jazz artist, Isaiah Manzvimbo, is set to release his fourth album titled ‘Sango Rinopa Waneta’ this year.
Manzvimbo told H- Metro he believes this is the year he will explode into a force to reckon with in the domestic musical industry.
The seven-track album was produced by Loveday Nguluve of Loveday Records.
Some of the songs on the album are ‘Sango Rinopa Waneta,’ ‘Dali Wami’, ‘Mushango Mune Shumba’, ‘My Son’, ‘Aive Makarekare’, ‘Ndafunga Kuita Bira’ and ‘Kutanga Kwegore’.
“This year I am a bundle of energy and my fans should expect fireworks.
“All I need is your unwavering support, “ he said.
Manzvimbo said the production of the album was not a stroll in the park.
“It was a herculean task producing the album as I was not financially strong but by the grace of the Lord, I managed to produce it,” he said.
“I have been in the industry for a long time and if you are not financially strong it would be a mammoth task to record and produce videos for the songs.
“Lack of transport to ferry us to shows is also another challenge we face as artists if you do not have a promoter.
“We need promoters to support us so that we can be on a good footing financially. I urge them not to turn a blind eye to those who live in small towns,” he said.
Manzvimbo added:
“I hope if all goes well, we will shoot two music videos in two weeks time,”
He wrote and composed all the songs.
“In the meantime, I feel content, I don’t have plans for a collaboration, maybe in the near future.”
He gave credit to Boss Munya Murigi for standing in his corner during the difficult times.
“He is always giving a hand to artists as a music promoter,” said Manzvimbo.
Manzvimbo has released four albums to date namely ‘Masango Machena’ in 2017, ‘Upenyu Ivhiri’ in 2022, ‘Kutanga Kwegore’ in 2024 and ‘Sango Rinopa Waneta.’
