SPRINGBOKS World Cup winning skipper Siya Kolisi is being praised as a model father after spending his Christmas holiday with his children in Victoria Falls.
Kolisi shared some highlights from his trip to Zimbabwe with his kids on Instagram and social media commentators have been praising him for spending time with his kids.
The rugby legend separated from his wife Rachel last year.
In October, the two issued a joint statement announcing their separation.
“After much reflection and open conversations, we have mutually decided to end our marriage.
“This decision comes from a place of love, respect and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us,” they said in a statement.
The paid said they would remain close friends and will be dedicated partners in raising their children.
“While our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and committed partners in raising our children with the same love and care they’ve always known.”
The pair have two children together, Nicholas Siyamthanda, born in 2015, and Keziah, born in 2017.
They tied the the knot on August 13, 2016, in Franschhoek.
Rachel decided to take a trip to Botswana, on the western side of the Victoria Falls, for her Christmas holiday.
“This was my first holiday/new year without my kiddies,” Rachel wrote on Instagram.
“So, instead of staying home sad and alone, I went on my dream trip to Botswana.
“It’s the first solo trip I’ve done and I’m an introvert, so I arrived super nervous and sad.”
Koli’s post telling the world that he was on holiday with his kids in Victoria Falls attracted a heart emojis and comments with many praising him for being a good father.
Former All Blacks Rugby star Sonny Bill Williams was one of those who deposited a heart emoji in the comments section.
“This man is really a good dad and human, I love him,” commented Tyron Brown.
Another social media user hailed him as “Certified Best Dad”.
Wishful thinking or simply a joke, but one user commented that “she’s taking the videos”. “She” being Rachel. – H-Metro Reporter/Citizen
