MOREBLESSING’S BROTHER HITS BACK, ACCUSES HIM OF BEING GREEDY

Laura Maposa

THE brother of a man, who publicly accused them of ill-treating him because of his condition, has hit back at him and is accusing him of being influenced by his wife to become greedy.

Moreblessing Maredza was hit by a car 33 years ago and has been confined to a wheelchair ever since.

Moreblessing told H-Metro last week that he was being ill-treated by his siblings with the row centred over the house which he claims was bought from the money he received compensation for the injuries he sustained in that accident.

However, his brother has come out guns blazing.

Tonderai claims Moreblessing is being influenced by his wife to cut ties with his family and he wants to evict all his siblings from the family house.

“Yes, he was involved in an accident and he was compensated but mum had already bought the stand.

“Ask yourself who has been taking care of him since our parents passed on.

“Since 2008, l was the one taking care of him and l was in primary school, can you imagine how much l suffered. We were staying together without an adult taking care of us.

“I took care of him from 2008 up to 2020 when he then married someone, which was okay, at least, I had someone to help me take care of him.

“The problems started when the wife told him that he should evict all the other siblings from the house so that they get more money,” he said.

He added:

“Our parents separated and we never had an adult to really take care of us so I’ll do his laundry, cook for him and bathe him, everything it was on me.

“It breaks my heart that now that he is married akundidzinga pamba.

“What happened with the house is that our mother bought the stand while she was working.

“She then put all her five kids as beneficiaries of the house if anything was to happen to her.

“Sekuru later sold the house but we got it back all this while I was the one taking care of him.”

Tonderai said many opportunities passed him in life as he had to take care of his brother.

“I had to be home every day and the money that came from his compensation after he was involved in an accident was taken by my dad and used to buy a car and property.

“So, him saying the money was used to buy the house it’s a lie, we both were too young to understand everything and how the money was spent.

“Since 2012, he has been collecting rent, at that time l was in Form 3. He never offered to pay or help me apa l was struggling to pay exam fees.

“Moreblessing is so greedy, I tell you, and he likes getting sympathy because he is disabled.

“He thinks the house is his and no one should stay there.

“Last week we got into a physical fight naMaiguru because they were being unreasonable.

“She accused me of trying to touch her inappropriately, we are actually heading for court soon because this is getting out of hand.

“Before he got married trust me, we never had problems.”
