MUM THROWS TWO DAUGHTERS INTO WATER CANAL

H-Metro Reporter

A 25-year-old woman allegedly threw her two daughters into the main water canal resulting in their drowning.

Blessing Chiromonye was arrested and appeared at the Chiredzi Magistrates’ Court facing charges of murder.

Allegations are that on Wednesday last week, Chiromonye threw her two daughters, aged 4 and 8, into the main water canal in Triangle, resulting in their drowning.

It is further alleged that she tried to commit suicide by jumping into the canal but failed to do so.

She then went home and changed her wet clothes and tried to flee from her crime scene.

The driver of the commuter omnibus she boarded was tipped about what had transpired and drove her to the police.

She was arrested and has since appeared in court.

She was remanded in custody to January 23.
