ARIEL Sibanda has thanked Highlanders for honouring him for his long service at the club with a Ford Ranger.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper has been with Bosso from his days as a junior player and has played for the team for 16 years.
The club gifted Sibanda with the company car, which was donated by Sakunda Holdings, which the goalkeeper has been using in the last four years.
“I am truly overwhelmed with joy and appreciation as I received this incredible gift. Your generosity and kindness are a testament to your exceptional character,” he said.
“I am honoured to have you Sakunda as my sponsor and Highlanders FC as part of my family, your support means the world to me, and I am deeply thankful for your investment in my life.
“This car is more than just a means of transportation, it’s a symbol of hope, opportunity, and freedom. It will enable me to travel to work, school, or personal projects.
“Please know that I will cherish and take good care of this gift and I will always remember your kindness and generosity.”
Highlanders have confirmed they have extended his contract, ending speculation about his future.
“We are delighted to announce that our esteemed captain, Ariel Sibanda, has pledged his continued commitment to the club, signing on for an additional two years.”
