Keith Mathe talks up Triangle

TRIANGLE midfielder, Keith Mathe, who once turned out for Mutare City Rovers in the Eastern Region Division One, believes Triangle have what it takes to keep their slot in the domestic premiership for years to come.
Mathe was part of the Eastern Region Division One championship winning Triangle and the 22-year-old, who still has age on his side, is looking forward to playing a huge part in the team’s top-flight league this year.
Triangle, who make a sensational return to the Castle Lager Premiership football this year, are no strangers to the league after spending 11 years in the premiership, winning the Chibuku Super Cup in the process. With Luke Masomere as their coach, Mathe reckons that Triangle can easily compete among the best in the country.
“I have no doubt that Triangle will once again give a good account of themselves when they take part in the Premiership this year. They have shown that they are a hugely competitive side, given the way we fought to eventually win the Eastern Region title.
“Added to that, the fact that we have a highly experienced coach in Luke Masomere will play a pivotal role in our performance in the league. Masomere is one of the best coaches around, and I have no doubt that he will stir the ship to greater heights,” said Mathe.
Speaking on his background as a footballer, Mathe said: “I was born in Chiredzi on October 10, 2022, then moved to Manicaland, Mutare at a later stage, and that is where it all started. That is where Keith Mathe the footballer was discovered,” he said.
The young midfielder had a great season with Triangle in the Eastern Region Division One title campaign, playing 29 matches, 15 of which he started.
He came on as a substitute in 14 matches.
Mathe had the blessing of never facing any injuries.
