GOSPEL sensation Everton Mlalazi has concluded a remarkable year filled with significant milestones and accolades.
His music has made a significant impact on the continent, transcending borders and influencing many far and wide.
Notably, the musician won two accolades: the Africa Best Male Artiste of the Year and Africa Viewers’ Choice awards at this year’s edition of the CLIMA Africa Awards held in Nigeria on October 5.
His wife and manager, Gamuchirai Mlalazi, was also acknowledged for her invaluable contributions to his career, winning the Africa Gospel Artiste Manager of the Year award at the same
event.
Mlalazi also scooped the coveted Best of Africa gong at the 17th edition of the Crown Gospel Music Awards in South Africa, which took place on November 24.
Speaking to The Sunday Mail Entertainment, the singer expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support of his fans and the countless blessings he has received.
“As we close the year, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for an extraordinary year filled with milestones, blessings and your unwavering support,” said the singer.
“This year began with a momentous debut — the live recording of ‘Celestial Chorus Soiree’, featuring the powerful anthem ‘Ndinomira paJordani’.
“The song garnered over two million YouTube views, showcasing the global impact of the music.”
The celebration of The Vine’s 10-year anniversary was another highlight, with renowned gospel artistes Vashawn Mitchell, Jekalyn Carr and Annatoria joining the festivities.
“Their anointed voices and powerful ministry made this celebration truly unforgettable and a testament to God’s faithfulness over the past decade.
“I am also grateful and proud of my manager and wife (Gamuchirai), whose dedication and excellence were rightfully acknowledged at the CLIMA and Crown Gospel awards. Her vision and hard work continue to be a guiding light for the brand.”
Another significant milestone for Mlalazi was his induction into the Spirit of Praise, Africa’s largest gospel
ensemble.
This opportunity has allowed him to share the stage with some of the most influential names in gospel music.
As the singer looks ahead to 2025, he has ambitious plans that include a tour with Spirit of Praise, and the release of The Vine album, “Celestial Chorus Volume Two” and the upcoming “In His Presence Volume Three”.
Additionally, he is excited to embark on more tours with The Vine, promising to deliver inspiring performances to audiences worldwide.
Mlalazi expressed his sincere gratitude to his fans, emphasising that their support has been instrumental in his success.
