KELVIN Nzima, better known as Mr Nambini continues to make waves in the arts industry as a singer, songwriter, television host, movie scriptwriter and actor.

He has exhibited boundless creativity and an innovative spirit.

As the founder of Flickpad Channel, a rising media platform and Nambini Clothing, a trendy fashion label, Mr Nambini consistently showcases his versatility and commitment to excellence across multiple fields.

He is determined to keep his artistic flair bright and relevant, recognising that consistent hits are essential to his success as a musician.

His latest effort comes in the form of a single titled, Uzobuya, which he hopes will solidify his status as a musical force to reckon with. With a unique blend of style, substance and showmanship, Mr Nambini aims to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression with this release.

In an interview with Sunday Life, Mr Nambini revealed that Uzobuya is dedicated to anyone who has experienced loss, whether through death or heartbreak.

โ€œThis song speaks to promises broken, whether intentionally or not. It encompasses heartbreaks and the reality of losing loved ones who promised to always be there but couldnโ€™t fulfil that due to circumstances such as death,โ€ he explained.

The songโ€™s narrative highlights the pain of those left behindโ€”people who were promised that their loved ones would return home but never did.

With excitement building around the release, fans and industry insiders eagerly anticipate Mr Nambiniโ€™s next moves.

The single is a collaborative effort featuring some of Bulawayoโ€™s most talented artistes, including the award-winning Fab G, also known as Mshanakagogo and dancehall sensation, Altag. This powerhouse collaboration is expected to make a significant impact on the music scene.

When asked about his choice of artistes for the collaboration, Mr Nambini emphasised the importance of teamwork in creating exceptional music.

โ€œCollaboration is key to producing masterpieces. When artistes join forces, they create something unique and powerful, much like a football team working together,โ€ he said.

He praised Fab Gโ€™s distinct style, which he describes as Umthobanhliziyo, meaning comforting the heart and noted.

โ€œHe connects emotionally with his audience. His recent feature with Sol Phenduka from the renowned Mac G podcast is a testament to his talent, as the song nears a million views on YouTube. He has made a good name for himself,โ€ he said.

Altag, an emerging voice in dancehall, impressed Mr Nambini with his energy and writing style.

โ€œI discovered him on Earground, and I needed someone from a different musical background to attract a diverse audience,โ€ he said.

Mr Nambini believes Uzobuya has the potential to revolutionise Zimbabweโ€™s music landscape.

โ€œBy blending the talents of award-winning Fab G and dancehall sensation Altag, among others, Uzobuya is set to transcend genre boundaries and captivate audiences nationwide,โ€ he stated.

Marked by its innovative fusion of styles, he said the song stands on the brink of potentially ushering in a new creative era within the countryโ€™s music industry.
