Gore’s blueprint for Zimbabwe football success

ASPIRING Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) president Marshall Gore yesterday unveiled his vision for Zimbabwean football to the Southern Region councillors.

He said he wants to transform the sport and elevate it to unprecedented heights.

“I am driven by a profound love for our national sport and a vision to elevate Zimbabwean football to unprecedented heights. My manifesto is a commitment to advancing the beautiful game in all its forms, including disability football, beach soccer, futsal, and beyond.

Our purpose is to foster inclusivity, innovation, and growth within football, ensuring that players of all abilities and backgrounds have the opportunity to participate, compete, and thrive,” said Gore.

“We aim to provide equal opportunities, build sustainable infrastructure, and support player welfare through tailored programmes, financial initiatives, and strategic partnerships. By embracing the diversity of football, we will create a dynamic ecosystem that empowers athletes, inspires communities, and promotes the universal values of unity, excellence, and fair play,” said Gore.

With vast experience in football, Gore aims to harness Zimbabwe’s rich footballing heritage to make a lasting impact on both the continental and global stages.

His journey began as a semi-professional player in Zimbabwe and the UK, evolving through various influential roles within the football landscape.

Gore’s mission is to revitalise Zimbabwean football through inclusive development, grassroots engagement, and community empowerment. He plans to achieve this by promoting unity and inclusivity, empowering youth, enhancing facilities and infrastructure, fostering economic growth, and implementing sustainable practices. Gore combines extensive experience in football administration with a solid reputation for integrity and success in diverse fields.

His leadership has been instrumental in promoting grassroots and diaspora football initiatives, strengthening community cohesion, and advancing the careers of emerging football talents.

Gore’s Power 1 Football Academy in Zimbabwe has been pivotal in creating pathways for scholarships and professional development with international universities. His grassroots football tournaments have fostered unity and development within communities, driven by innovative and inclusive projects.

“I am committed to ensuring that our football ecosystem is sustainable and inclusive. My global expertise in football management and deep commitment to community development position me as a transformative force in Zimbabwean football,” said Gore.

Gore aims to build a vibrant football culture that celebrates Zimbabwe’s rich heritage and paves the way for a brighter future for all Zimbabweans.
