Thief caught in Parklands forced to eat poo

A MAN who was caught stealing at a house in Parklands suburb in Bulawayo learnt the hard way that stealing is bad after he was forced to eat poo.

Mufaro Munjekwa was caught pushing a wheelbarrow with a satchel full of clothes which he had allegedly stolen from Stella Mudenda’s home in Parklands suburb.

It is reported that Mudenda teamed up with her neighbours to mete out instant justice on Munjekwa. They punched and kicked him all over the body.

As if that was not enough they forced him to eat poo. After that they took him to the police leading to his arrest.

Munjekwa appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Maxwell Ncube facing a theft charge.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and said: “I admit that I stole a wheelbarrow and clothes. However, all the items were recovered.”

Munjekwa raised a complaint against Mudenda and her neighbours.

“Your worship I was subjected to heart-rending torture after they caught me stealing. They beat me up and forced me to eat poo,” he said, drawing raucous laughter from an unsympathetic gallery.

He was remanded in custody to 6 December 2024.

The court heard that this week on Monday Munjekwa went to Mudenda’s house and there was no one at home. He then smashed a window and got into the sitting room and stole a wheelbarrow and clothes.

While he was heading to the gate Mudenda caught him before calling out neighbours who beat him up.

They reportedly forced him to eat poo and took him to a police station.
